語本景德傳燈錄˙卷八˙大陽和尚:「師云:『汝只解瞻前,不解顧後。』伊云:『雪上更加霜。』」比喻禍患接踵而至,使傷害加重。元˙吳弘道˙梅花引˙蘭蕊檀心仙袂香套˙紫花兒序曲:「不做美相知每早使伎倆,左右攔障,笑裡藏刀,雪上加霜。」
