(一)huo3《廣韻》呼果切,上果曉。微部。(1)物體燃燒時所產生的光和焰。《說文‧火部》:“火,燬也。”《玉篇‧火部》:“火,火岙尾?也。”《書‧盤庚上》:“若火之燎于原,不可嚮邇,其猶可撲滅﹖”《論衡‧言毒》:“夫毒,陽氣也,故其中人,若火灼人。”《水滸全傳》第四十六回:“便去穴熷士熷黽前尋了把草,穴熷士熷黽裏點個火……那火頃刻間天也似般大。”

(3)用火將食物烹熟。《莊子‧山木》:“孔子圍於陳、蔡之間,七日不火食。”成玄英疏:“七日不起火食。”《山海經‧北山經》:“其山北人,皆生食不火之物。”郭璞注:“或作‘皆生食而不火’。”《禮記‧王制》:“東方曰夷,被髮文身,有不火食者矣。”

(4)火把或燈燭等照明用具。《莊子‧天地》:“厲之人夜半生其子,遽取火而視之。”唐溫庭筠《臺城曉朝曲》:“司馬門前火千炬,闌干星斗天將曙。”《官場現形記》第十三回:“等到上火之後,船家果然把他們兩隻坐船撐到對岸停泊。”

(5)用火光照看。《聊齋志異‧成仙》:“(周生)定移時,始覺在成榻。駭曰:‘昨不醉,何顛倒至此耶!’乃呼家人。家人火之,儼然成也。”

(7)指槍炮彈藥。如:軍火;火器;火力;火網。又比喻戰爭。如:交火;開火;停火。郭沫若《孤山的梅花》:“上海方面難道已經開了火嗎﹖”

(13)五行之一。《書‧洪範》:“五行:一曰水,二曰火,三曰木,四曰金,五曰土。”《春秋繁露‧五行之義》:“天有五行……木生火,火生土,土生金,金生水,水生木。”又“故木居東方而主春氣,火居南方而主夏氣。”

(14)中醫學術語。指陽性、熱性一類的物象或亢進的狀態。1.指生理的火。為陽氣所化,生命的動力。如少火、命門火等。2.指病因六淫(風、寒、暑、濕、燥、火)之一。與暑熱同性,但無明顯季節性。3.病理性的各種機能亢進的表現。唐孟郊《路病》:“飛光赤道路,內火焦肺肝。”

(15)星名。1.大火,又名心宿。《書‧堯典》:“日永星火,以正仲夏。”蔡沈傳:“火,謂大火。”曾運乾注:“《爾雅》‘大火謂之大辰’注:大火,心也。”《詩‧豳風‧七月》:“七月流火,九月授衣。”毛傳:“火,大火也。”高亨注:“火,星名,又名大火,即心宿。”《左傳‧莊公二十九年》:“火見而致用,水昏正而栽。”2.行星之一。古人以金木水火土為五大行星。火星又名“熒惑”。《史記‧天官書》:“火犯守角,則有戰。”司馬貞索隱引韋昭曰:“火,熒惑也。”

台灣人愛風神的性格使得廟宇總必需愈蓋愈大,1960年代某著名王爺廟拆建時番人倆於是流落民間。


三十年後昌仔在桃城最老資格的民藝業者葉桑家裡看到其中之一,昌仔當時民藝事業正旺,台灣景氣雖已如強弩之末,畢竟好日子裡大家都風風火火,昌仔的眼力讓他立刻高價買入這尊憨番。
